Thanks for Your Business!

Thanks for trusting us in 2006 to be your partner and by taking advantage of our human capital solutions. CRG Lee Hecht Harrison is pleased to deliver quality services and programs specifically designed to address your search, selection, employee and leadership development, career transition, and executive coaching needs.

We're delighted to have served 37 new corporate customers in 2006. Thank you for your strong referrals resulting in many of these new clients. After reviewing some of the highlights of our expanded capabilities and successful projects, we're confident that you'll agree - we're ready to assist you when the time is right.

Outplacement

CRG Lee Hecht Harrison continues to be selected by many of Iowa's business leaders. For example, we were honored when one of Iowa's premier employers switched to CRG in 2006 as their exclusive outplacement services provider.

Implemented Blended Learning
As part of our industry-leading commitment to personalizing the career transition process, CRG Lee Hecht Harrison's ongoing efforts to leverage technology are focused squarely on enriching the client's career transition experience. Our unique blended learning approach, encompassing our full range of integrated service components,

  • Appeals to varied work styles and preferences,
  • Accommodates individual schedules and circumstances,
  • Ensures that training on specific job search topics is available on a "just-in-time" basis,
  • Provides our clients with a high degree of choice, and
  • Elevates our Career Coaches' role to that of "strategist" and "business partner" - enabling our clients to derive maximum benefit from their insights and expertise.

Human Resource Consulting

Debbie Noe, SPHR has been working with several organizations to provide specialized HR consulting. She supported an organization experiencing a sustained period of growth, starting with a comprehensive HR audit. Debbie analyzed current HR policies and practices, ensured legal compliance, quantified risk, and recommended actions to close critical gaps.

As a result of this work, Debbie continued to make an impact by writing a comprehensive Hiring Reference Guide for Managers, rewriting their employee handbook, and updating job descriptions. Managers became more adept at hiring new talent into this growing group by participating in Interviewing for Successful Selection.

Another customer asked Debbie to initiate a Supervisory Academy that examined leadership and behavioral styles and how styles influence performance management.

Executive Search

We developed a great partnership with MidAmerican Executive Resources in 2006, completing our capability to provide services in all stages of the employment life cycle. After introducing John Virden to many of our customers, MidAmerican Executive Resources has been selected for a number of search opportunities, all with excellent results and customer satisfaction. These searches include a senior IT leader, HR Director, and division CEO.

Cedar Rapids Office

CRG opened a new office in Cedar Rapids to serve the eastern Iowa market. M.E. Reich, SPHR and Versa Lauritsen have been busy introducing themselves and delivering CRG Lee Hecht Harrison solutions to many new customers.

Leadership Consulting and Coaching Successes

Coaching

Our team of five certified coaches engaged with coaching partners in insurance, construction, banking, financial services, engineering, higher education, not-for-profits, healthcare, and trade associations. Our dedication to growing potential in individuals and organizations through Top Performance Coaching created a 250% expansion in CRG's coaching practice over 2005. Lynn Janssen, Nan Rutter Valentine, and M.E. Reich completed Lee Hecht Harrison's rigorous certification in 2006 and joined Dick Reasons and Sherry Barrett in the exciting and rewarding coaching work.

Leadership Consulting and Strategic Planning

A leading retailer selected CRG to craft a process to increase employee involvement in defining the company's strategic plan. Another global client strengthened their organizational development plans and set a clear strategic direction for leadership development using our expertise.

Dick and Sherry also became certified in another Management Research Group assessment that defines sales performance attributes and development needs.

eePulse

Dick Reasons was one of the first Lee Hecht Harrison consultants to strategically implement eePulse in 2006. eePulse is a leadership communication tool designed to take the "pulse" of an organization and suggest strategies to increase organizational effectiveness. The tool is based on the University of Michigan research done by Dr. Theresa Welborne over the past 17 years.

The time was ideal for a Central Iowa financial institution to support new leadership and actualize a series of change initiatives designed to improve responsiveness, both to stakeholders and their internal talent. The impact of using the data generated by eePulse helps employees, managers, and leaders clarify and prioritize the issues influencing their most critical business outcomes.

Community Impact

CRG Lee Hecht Harrison has busy hands and a big heart, too. Our team members continue to touch the lives of diverse groups of people outside of our everyday work environment. For example:

Bob Wigger provided resume critique support at the Iowa Career Expo. He also arranged the donation of office furniture and computers to the Eddie Davis Center.

Dick Reasons, Chair of the Rotary Club of Des Moines Youth Committee, mentors teen members of the Greater Des Moines Interact Club. Their 2006 holiday service project benefited a Venezuelan orphanage.

Sherry Barrett trained United Way agency speakers to share their stories in a compelling way during the fall campaign.

Debbie Noe continues to serve in leadership roles at the state level of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She gave extra hours (outside the office) coaching clients with physical and language challenges in seeking employment.

Carrie Taycher has used her creative talents to draft website ideas, business cards, letterhead, PowerPoint presentations, and marketing materials to help promote clients starting their own business ventures.

M.E. Reich, member of the Eastern Iowa Human Resource Association (EIHRA), participated in planning the 2006 Iowa SHRM conference in Cedar Rapids.

CRG Lee Hecht Harrison prepared two Drake international students for internships and a job search by sponsoring them to attend our career transition workshop and Design and Deliver Winning Presentations seminar.
